Hilda and George grew up in a place called Shipley, not far from Bradford, in West Yorkshire, England. (Thanks to Old Pete of Shipley for walking the streets of Shipley and taking these photos for us).
Where is it?
Shipley is a small town in the Aire Valley just to the north of Bradford and south of Bingley, near where Bradford Beck meets the River Aire as it flows onwards towards the city of Leeds.
