I have received some photos from Alicia Lyell's wedding held in April. There is one of Jim & Kaye with all of their family and one which includes their extended family, both have been loaded up onto the " Woodchips " site and can be viewed on

News From Lorraine Wood:

In March, Lorraine met her son Vincent and family from Canberra at the Wonlogan Lake resort on the east coast south of Eden and spent a lovely seven days, mostly out fishing in the boat, early each morning and sometimes on the beach surf fishing. Very relaxing week with a happy hour spa at 5 pm.

Then in April Lorraine attended the Shepparton High school 100 yrs anniversary and enjoyed catching up with many that she went to school with in the 40's.

On the Queens Birthday weekend she went on the annual camping weekend with the Catholic Bush walking club to Sunset Pink Lakes National Park which is 540 km North West of Melbourne past Ouyen & not far from the S.A. border. There were 15 people on the camp, the weather was unsettled & showery at times but not enough to get wet because the ground was sandy & absorbed rain, lovely camp fires at night and umbrellas appeared for short periods, then when the moon came out it was so bright it cast your shadow like in the sun.

In July Lorraine is doing her yearly trip to Wodonga, Canberra & Sydney to visit her family on the way.This time there is a first great grandchild to visit, Simon & Laura Camish had a little boy Hunter Emmett 7lb 7ozs on June18th, Simon is Bernadette's son. Hunter was born on Laura's birthday.

Michael recently won the Wyselaskie award in Mathematics at the University of Melbourne, he has now embarked on his Phd in mathematics and is just at the moment enjoying a well earned 5 week holiday in Japan with his girlfriend Alissa.

Anne, Brendan and Daniel are presently planning a holiday to England, France & Italy this September, they are also intend to head to the Wood roots in Yorkshire and are looking forward to seeing the places Nanna & Grandad always talked about.

Brian and Raelene have recently returned from a holiday to Turkey and Greece and now back at work.

Thomas and Daniel are busy with their lives. Thomas is at University and working as a life guard in Ivanhoe. Daniel is enjoying playing football and basketball and tennis and everything else a 11year old enjoys doing.
