I don't know the attraction of travelling to Thailand but two of our families holidayed there recently; Brian & Raelene Turner spent 2 weeks there in July and then Peter, Penelope and their 4 children also spent two weeks in August. Cheap travelling and good food were top of the list.

While these families have been sunning themselves John Lyell reports that they have just endured the coldest Winter they have experienced since moving to Maryborough so after spluttering and coughing for 3 months they are heading to Mulwala for 5 days to recuperate.

The other travellers Rob, Clare & Olive are now in Queensland (somewhere near Townsville) heading back slowly to Melbourne expecting to be back by Christmas. Details of their travel are detailed on their blog for you to read.

Hopefully we will see many of the family at Eddies Golden Jubilee which he celebrates on October 4th.

Heard from Anne Couch that the family recently had a short break with Sharon & Vic skiing at Mt Buller but as they skied she spent most of the time holding onto the mountain.
The Couch children are very busy with their studies, Michael is completing Honours at Melbourne University in mathematics , Thomas is completing his second year in Landscape Architecture also at Melbourne University while Daniel is currently in Grade 5 and recently made his First Holy Communion .

Over the last couple of months the Turner family have been cleaning out Dorothy's house and many photos and various items that have accumulated over 50 years have brought back many wonderful memories.
