Tragedy has struck the Lyell family again, Mandy Lyell's brother David Blyth was killed in a car accident on the 2nd April, our sympathy and prayers go out to all the families.

Maureen Muir celebrates her 40th birthday on the11th July.

Rob & Clare have finished the Central American stage of their tour and are now in the USA and after spending a few days with Allison & Reg are heading to New York via other States, dont forget you can follow their adventures on the web site http://www.thetravelalmanac.com/worldtrip05.htm

News from the Queensland Lyells --- Brent was named captain of the Cooparoo AFL under 16 team and was also picked in the South Eastern Bushrangers under 16 Rep team to play in the under 16 state championships. Heath also plays AFL for Cooparoo  under 12's and was picked to try out for the Queensland under 12 state team but did not make the final squad. And not forgetting the girls - Carissa is working at a hairdressers after school and is competing at Dance Eisteddfods, Rick & Deb are kept busy taxi driving.

News from the West -- Michael has resumed as Physiotherapist  for the Australian Mens Hockey team and is off to Malaysia with them next Sunday, he has reduced his involvement with the Perth Glory Soccer Team. Sonja has been appointed the High Performance Manager at North Cottlesloe Surf Club. Zachary has made the State under 13 Soccer team and will travel to the Gold Coast in September to compete against some international teams.

Pam & I  have recently had a weeks holiday in Tasmania and we followed this up with 4 days in Bright which is beautiful in the Autumn now we will hibernate for the Winter.

Barbara & Vic are heading to Queensland to spend time with Maureen and family and then are spending a week in Darwin, Amanda will be traveling with them.

Occupation :     Work as an accountant for a company called Texas Peak. They are the Australian distributors of the following sporting brands : Brooks, Prince and Helly Hansen. I have worked there for just under 7 years. Prior to that worked casually at Coles Supermarkets whilst completing a degree at Swinburne University.  

Wife:   Melissa and I got married on 7th August 2004. We have settled in well at our home in Roxburgh Park. Melissa is a qualified nurse working as an associate nursing unit manager at the Northern Hospital in Epping.  

Hobbies :    Home Improvements, Golf, Collecting old VFL memorabilia  

Interests :   Doing dinner with friends, Watching Footy.

Favourite CD :  Any music from Matchbox 20, Robbie Williams  

Favourite Movie : Anger Management, Something's gotta give.  

Favourite TV Show : The Footy Show, My Restaurant Rules  

Favourite Holiday Destination : Went to Fiji and Hawaii for Honeymoon, both were fantastic.

Favourite Book: Nothing in particular, but interested in reading autobiographies.  

Car you drive :  Normally Nissan Pulsar, Melissa gets to drive the Honda Accord most of the time.

Event at Olympics: Mens Hockey. Played Hockey at School and really enjoyed it.

What talent would you like to have: Good enough to play AFL at top level, amazing the money those guys make these days.
