Wood Family History

Newsletter No. 1: July 2000

Hi all

This is the first issue of " WOODCHIPS" which is intended to be a regular newsletter with news of the family descended from George Stanley Wood & Hilda Daire. Each month I intend to list the following:

  1. A profile of one of the family
  2. Details of family travelling overseas
  3. Quote of the day
  4. Joke of  the day
  5. Any item of interest relating to family such as achievements in sport, study, work, engagements, births, etc. but in general anything, so I would be looking for information coming from you all

JOKE OF THE DAY A lady on an airliner was reading her bible. The man sitting next to her gave a little chuckle and asked, "You don't really believe all that stuff in there do you?"
"Of course I do. Its in the bible." the lady replies.
"Well, what about that guy that was swallowed by the whale?" he asked.
"Oh, Jonah ...Yes, I believe that, it is in the bible." she replied.
"Well, how do you suppose he survived all that time inside the whale?" he asked.
"Well, I don't really know. I guess when I get to heaven, I will ask him" said the lady.
'What if he isn't in heaven?" the man asked sarcastically.
"Then YOU can ask him" replied the lady.

QUOTE OF THE DAY Life is hard, nobody makes it out alive.
